We left Sydney on Tuesday 10th September for our great adventure. India is the very last country I expected to ever visit but ACWW Conference is in Chennai so I thought why not.
We had a good trip to Singapore where we had a five hour layover but as there were by then lots of ladies around the time passed fairly quickly and we reboarded at 3am for the flight to India.
My back was feeling a little bit better and I kept the Panasonic going so was able to get an hours sleep but was feeling fairly exhausted by the time we got there.
Bus trip to the hotel was uneventful and we were able to watch the scenery as we went along.
The area didn’t look too dirty and it is lush and green and very hot.
Andrea and I spent pretty much Theresa of the day at the hotel to stay awake. We had brekky on arrival and early check in.
Strolled around the rather lovely gardens took a few pics and then had lunch in the hotel not wanting to go out elsewhere. A Nanna nap followed after drinking a refreshing beer. (yep I now like beer) and down to dinner with the group. It was a get to know you dinner. Andrea knows a lot of the ladies having been a member for 32 years.
Up to bed and a early night although late for me 9.30. Took a normison and feel a lot better today.
